What to Do

Activities in the Wayne Area

The town of Wayne is fortunate to be rich with open spaces and a proximity to urban areas filled with the arts, restaurants and shopping.

EXPLORE

A high recommend and a must see is Chanticleer, A Pleasure Garden. This lovely private garden is a 1-minute drive from our house and can be strolled through in an hour (or take longer and enjoy the garden). We have tickets to give out at the Welcome Dinner on Friday night. Be sure to let us know if you are interested as parking reservations are required; carpooling is encourage. Also available, is to park your car at the Boland-Marino home and we can drop-off at the garden (1 min). This is best to visit on Saturday afternoon before the party or Sunday after the brunch.

SHOP

King of Prussia Mall with high-end shopping as the largest retail space in the USA and only 16 min. away. Additionally, the town of Wayne has a very local downtown vibe with a small independent bookstore, a furniture consignment shop (our favorite!) and several restaurants.

URBAN

Downtown Philadelphia is only 30 mins away with plenty to see and do. Our top picks are: The Liberty Bell & Independence Hall, The Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia Museum of Art and for the young, Please Touch Museum and/or The Franklin Institute. Be sure to get a selfie at Love Park.
